I am going to share with you all the very inspiration that led me to set off to do and complete my personal challenge.

I as a concept based photographer, love to get ideas from random items.  My Hello Kitty project being a perfect prime example.

So lets begin... a casual trip to McDonald's after working a shift a Waxy O Connors. i typically dip into AC Moore almost every other day and browse for inspiration, that is one of the ways i get my random ideas, i usually go in there with something in mind or other days i go in clear headed with headphones on, looking for inspo, its almost like my own personal tradition. This particular day was a Sunday and I remember going to make my way to Ac Moore and remembering that the store closed early Sunday afternoons.

BLAH! WHAT A BUMMER! I said to myself, as it put somewhat of a halt on my creative spirits that night..

So I proceeded to grab something to eat, being it was already late in the evening to cook I figured why the hell not and stop and good Ole McDonalds lol.

I go inside, because i hate the one on west main in New Britain, takes forever in the drive thru so i always park it and go inside. I remember saying to myself, oh I wonder if they still had their Monopoly going on as they had it for the month of October, I never win anything ever but its always fun to me to try lol. They did not have Monopoly, they had just transitioned to a limited time Hello Kitty and something for the boys that i honestly do not remember lol. in any event, the wheels started to turn, and then I am next in line. I put my order in, then i kindly ask the employee if they have more than one of the same toy, being they always have an abundance of the same toy.

The board next to the register advertised quite a few Hello Kitty Happy meal toys, but only 3 caught my eye, the glasses, the headband, and the necklace.

This is exactly what was in the display case

I asked the employee if they would sell me the toys alone, no happy meal, they gladly responded yes, and also told me they were a dollar each as long as you ordered anything from the menu, then he pulls out the box of toys. Lo and behold, they only had  THE 3 I WAS INQUIRING ABOUT!

OH BOY WAS I EXCITED! CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! I CHALLENGE MYSELF TO MAKE THESE TOYS LOOK SUPERB ON FILM!

I just scored $3 of some cool props at McDonalds, and I am going to shoot a cool mini Hello Kitty shoot with these new $1 gems I had just acquired from MCDONALDS! lol. Inspiration truly is all around you, its just a matter of getting in touch with your creativity and letting it flow, who care's that I just acquired toys from McDonalds, they made for super cool props for a super cool shoot, that only cost me all of 3 dollars and a bit of originality and simple ingenuity. This is an example of how my though process works behind anything I do. I really try to stay away from google or Pinterest to look for inspiration, I have no problem finding inspiration all around me, and through the people I meet, you all also inspire me.

Here are some more shots from my Hello Kitty Mcdonalds toy shoot that i did with my beautiful muse, Zuleika Casiano.
